No chimney does not mean no design rules

The manual SXRX removes electricity, gas piping and a conventional chimney—but ventilation, suitable materials and operating access still matter.

Verified live configuration: 304 stainless steel, drop-in format, manual sliding-lid control, included hook tool and seven listed widths from 300 to 900 mm.

Three things the project can remove

Electrical connection

The sliding lid is mechanically operated, so the control path must remain physically accessible.

Gas pipe

Pipe coordination disappears, while careful bioethanol handling becomes part of ownership.

Conventional chimney

A flue route is not required, but appropriate room ventilation still is.

Three responsibilities that remain

“Drop-in” describes the insert format, not permission to cut an opening from a photograph. Obtain the final drawing and coordinate tolerances before stone, metalwork or joinery is fabricated.

A four-part brief for the design team

  • Services: record that this is the manual, connection-free configuration.
  • Structure: confirm exact dimensions, support and opening tolerances.
  • Environment: plan airflow, circulation and combustible separation.
  • Operation: preserve access for control, filling and inspection.

Bioethanol storage and refilling remain real operating tasks. Never refuel a lit or hot burner, keep fuel away from ignition sources, and follow the supplied instructions and local rules.
