Standardize SXKT Fireplaces with a Model-and-Revision Schedule

One row per fireplace keeps model, drawing, finish and control options aligned from quotation through handover. Use the schedule below before releasing the surround.

When a project contains several fireplaces, the room name is only the beginning of the specification. Purchasing, fabrication and handover need the same exact model and revision information for every location.

A shared schedule can connect the selected unit to its order, approved drawing, finish, controls and handover record. Keep a separate row for every fireplace even when several units appear identical.

Start with the exact product reference

The current KT Adjustable-Flame Burner reference describes a remote-controlled platform with an onboard rising display and 20 flame levels. The current SXKT-001 configuration includes a Chinese/English Android App as standard, using the supplied private download and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection; Bluetooth is not supported. Smart-home connection and an external fuel tank are optional. Record the supplied software version and ordered options for each physical unit rather than assuming every historic SXKT has the same configuration.

Copy the chosen SKU and configuration from the quotation into the schedule. Do not transfer a size range, accessory list or stock snapshot from another catalogue page and assume it defines this order. Match the dimensions and model description across the quotation, nameplate and approved drawing.

Use one record for each physical location

Scroll across the table to see all columns.

Schedule field What the record needs
Project tag and location Unique identifier and building/room for one physical unit
Product and order Exact model/SKU, supplier quotation, confirmed order and configuration
Dimensions Nominal product reference separated from approved opening and complete-unit dimensions
Drawing Drawing number, revision, approval status and applicable location
Finish and panel Written selected finish, panel specification and agreed sample where applicable
Controls Onboard/display version, remote and each ordered option, explicitly included or excluded
Services and access Reviewed power/fuel arrangement, ventilation, operation and service-access references
Documents Applicable manual revision, ordered accessories and handover record
Open item Unresolved question, responsible person and required decision before release

For a template row, “Lobby-FP-01” may be a useful project tag. Leave the model, dimensions and revision unapproved until the actual supplier documents identify them. A realistic-looking example number is less useful than a clearly unresolved field.

Separate the control package from optional equipment

Use a column for each requested option instead of one broad “smart controls” cell. App control, Wi-Fi, an external tank, thermostat, timer, CO2 alarm or smart-home interface should be listed as included, excluded or awaiting written confirmation.

The schedule should reference the applicable control documentation. It should not turn into a second operating manual or imply a guaranteed flame height or calibrated heat output for a displayed setting. Use the wording confirmed for the delivered platform.

Manage drawing revisions before they reach the workshop

  1. Issue the proposed schedule. Identify what is selected and what is still a question.
  2. Reconcile the supplier response. Confirm model identity, dimensions, options and the supporting documents for each location.
  3. Review the installation. Coordinate support, materials, ventilation, clearances, electrical provisions, fuel handling and service access with qualified project professionals.
  4. Release the agreed revision. Make the approved drawing and schedule revision visible to the fabricator and installer.
  5. Record every change. If the model, controls, glass, finish thickness or surrounding construction changes, identify affected locations and repeat the relevant review.

Keep superseded documents clearly separated from the current set. A revised overall product size should not be silently substituted into a previously approved opening detail.

Add a receiving and handover check

At delivery, match the model and supplied components to the project tag before moving them to different rooms. Record serial numbers where available and keep the correct remote and instructions associated with the correct unit.

At handover, verify the ordered functions using the supplier’s instructions, leave the relevant manual and drawing with the owner or operator, and record unresolved issues. Repeat training when the person responsible for operation changes.

Keep the release decision explicit

A useful hold point before surround fabrication asks whether the exact unit, drawing revision, access and local installation requirements have all been resolved. “Same as the other room” is not enough when either the unit or enclosure differs.

The technical resources page provides family manuals and planning references. These support coordination but are not construction approvals. Confirm the applicable KT manual and exact drawing for each ordered configuration.

Request a project quotation with the location schedule, quantities, required sizes, finishes, destination and proposed installation drawings. Keep price, availability and production commitments in the current written quotation rather than in evergreen blog copy.
