The filling pump has stopped. Does that mean only the pump needs replacing? Not necessarily. A pump that does not run is a symptom; the fuel path, wiring and surrounding components may also need attention.

Pay attention to what happened during filling
Fuel dripping from a filling connection can collect around the opening or reach nearby electrical parts. If it ignites, damage may extend beyond the pump to wiring or other components. This is why preventing drips and dealing with spilled fuel matters.
Visible burn marks, damaged insulation, liquid outside its intended path or an unusual persistent smell are reasons to stop using the unit. Wiping the outside clean does not show that the inside is safe. Neither does waiting a fixed number of hours.
Stop the attempts; record the sequence
Use the documented shutdown procedure when it is safe to do so. Keep others from restarting the fireplace. If there is an uncontrolled fire or immediate danger, move people away and contact the local emergency service.
For support, send one clear account:
- The model and available serial number.
- What happened before the filling stopped, and the exact message or light pattern.
- The fuel label and any recent change of fuel.
- Any spill, smell or visible damage, with safe photographs of the cold exterior.
“Filling stopped after this message” is more useful than “the pump is burned out.” Do not repeat the fault just to film it, open the casing or bypass a sensor.
Return to use after the cause is addressed
Repairs need to consider the complete fault, especially after suspected internal leakage or heat damage. Follow the service provider’s inspection and return-to-use instructions. Before the next fill, check the fuel information and review the filling routine with the operator.
Send the model, displayed warning and observations to SXFireplace technical support for a review of the reported fault.
