Planning a Linear Fireplace Wall: Which SXKT Length Fits?

A long linear fireplace can make a room feel calmer, wider and more intentional—but only when its proportions belong to the wall. For today’s planning guide, we reviewed the live SXKT Smart Bioethanol Fireplace range and turned its current 1200–2400 mm size options into a practical design workflow.

The key question: how much of the wall should the flame occupy?

Begin with a scaled elevation of the finished wall. Mark doors, shelves, cabinetry, television edges and circulation routes before drawing the burner. The aim is not automatically to choose the longest model; it is to create enough visual space around the flame for the composition to breathe.

The live SXKT catalog checked on 26 August 2026 lists thirteen lengths: 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700, 1800, 1900, 2000, 2100, 2200, 2300 and 2400 mm. All are currently shown with a 260 mm width and 230 mm height. Stock was listed across the range at the time of review, although the 2400 mm version had a smaller available quantity than the others. Three proportion strategies

1. Fireplace plus storage

If shelving, cabinetry or art shares the elevation, the 1200–1500 mm group can leave useful visual and construction space at each side. This is often more balanced than forcing a wall-to-wall flame line.

2. Fireplace as the central anchor

The 1600–2000 mm group offers several increments for centering a broad flame feature under a media zone or within a large living-room wall. Test more than one length on the drawing; a 100 mm change can affect alignments with panels and joinery.

3. Extended architectural line

The 2100–2400 mm group creates a deliberate horizontal gesture for expansive interiors. The surrounding structure, finish materials, clearances, service access and room conditions need to be resolved with the installer rather than inferred from the nominal dimensions.

Look beyond length: understand the current SXKT controls

The product listing describes smartphone-app and remote operation, an LCD display, voice status messages, and flame adjustment from 10% to 100%. It also identifies Wi-Fi and smart-home integration as optional. Confirm the exact configuration instead of assuming that an optional function is included.

The listing specifies 304 stainless steel and describes fuel-level monitoring plus sensors for tilt, leakage and temperature-related conditions. Those systems are useful layers, but safe use still depends on the product manual, a suitable enclosure and responsible operation.

Questions to settle before the opening is built

  • What are the exact cut-out, clearance and non-combustible-material requirements for the selected model?
  • How will power and future service access be provided?
  • Where will controls be reached without leaning over the flame area?
  • How will the room meet the manufacturer’s ventilation guidance and local requirements?
  • Does the ordered configuration include every desired optional feature?

A note on fuel handling

Use only the fuel specified for the unit. Never refill an operating or hot fireplace, and allow the appliance to cool as directed before handling fuel. Follow the exact startup and shutdown procedure in the supplied manual. A local qualified professional should confirm installation, ventilation and fire-safety requirements.

Turn dimensions into a confident shortlist

Print or draw the wall at scale, overlay two or three SXKT lengths, and review the composition from normal seating and circulation positions. Then match the preferred proportion to the live product variant and technical documentation.
